Remote learning can save you!

Students' home burglarized during remote learning-teacher calls 911

Two days ago in Northern California, a German teacher named Ms. Petersen, saw her students panic during an online class. The terrified teens screamed that an unknown man had entered their house. Their teacher immediately called 911. These two young people were home alone while their mom had gone out briefly, at which point a the thief entered their home through the garage. The burglar saw that the students were engaged in their online class and attempted to hide from them and thankfully didn't attempt to harm them. The man had already been seen in the neighborhood attempting to enter other houses and local residents had apparently chased him before he entered the students' home. Fortunately the man did not harm the kids and was found hiding between a coffee table and the sofa by the police when they arrived. He was arrested and taken into custody without incident. Meanwhile the teens' mom came home and found the police bringing the suspect out of her house in handcuffs, a shocking and terrifying sight. This was indeed a scary story but luckily for the students, their family and their teacher, it had a happy ending. Be safe!
