Indoor gatherings during the holidays could spread the coronavirus
All of us like to get together with friends and family during Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. But is it safe to meet during the coronavirus pandemic? Could our holiday get togethers spread the virus among our friend and family? According to Dr. Fauci getting together this year could be dangerous. He said recently: “Gathering together in an indoor setting” with large groups of out-of-town guests. “It is unfortunate because that’s such a sacred part of American tradition – the family gathering around Thanksgiving,” he said. “But that is a risk.” (Fauci warned against Thanksgiving celebrations. How can I stay safe indoors from the coronavirus during cold seasons?) What should we do as family members? Have Thanksgiving dinner on zoom? One main concern is that when we are outside the air is moving and therefore decreases the risk of the virus spreading. Perhaps we could have Thanksgiving outdoors if it's not too cold?
