Winter Break is here, hope you have a great Christmas or other holiday and a much, much better and very much happier New Year!
After one of the worst years in history, the New Year is almost here. Hopefully everyone did their schoolwork and finished up the Fall Semester in a positive way. In any case Winter Break is here, a time to have fun and to think about the upcoming year. I hope everyone's family is safe and well and hopefully employed and secure. I believe that 2021 will be a seriously much, much better year. Here is a list of things that will make it better:
- The vaccines are approved and ready to be administered. Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine are being given to people that need it the most. Kids will likely get it in the late spring to summer.
- A second round of pandemic stimulus payments to individuals and states has been approved. See the article here to learn if your family will receive a check: Second stimulus check: Who gets the $600 payment and when
- In-person learning may return in the winter or spring. The school has already purchased (kind of odd looking) barriers for your desk! (Waukegan school board votes to purchase desk barriers to be used when in-person learning begins)

- Santa is back and will still bring us presents during the pandemic! (How the pandemic stole Christmas but Santa Claus got it back)
- Getting the vaccine is safe. Biden just got it to show that there are no problems for most people! (Here’s what you need to know about COVID-19 vaccines) (Joe Biden receives COVID-19 vaccine, says ‘nothing to worry about’)
- Sooner or later, life will return to normal once again in 2021. Be hopeful and happy and enjoy the holidays!
