Fauci warns of 'surge on top of surge'
Many people did travel and did get together with family members this last holiday weekend. Right or wrong, for better or worse, families like to gather for the holidays. However Anthony Fauci, the nation's top pandemic expert and other experts as well, predicate that there will be and increased number of infections as a result of holiday activities. They urge anyone who did travel or get together with family to get tested for the virus:
"Americans’ insistence on attending Thanksgiving celebrations despite the coronavirus pandemic could lead to “a surge superimposed upon that surge that we’re already in,” Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious-disease expert, predicted on Sunday.Other experts joined him in sounding the alarm: Anyone who traveled or attended large gatherings over the holiday should assume they’re infected and get tested in the next few days, White House coronavirus task force coordinator Deborah Birx told CBS News’s Face the Nation.” (Fauci warns that Thanksgiving could lead to surge on top of a surge)
