Vaccines for Christmas

Vaccines might be here as early as this month!

Illinois Governor J B Pritzker

According to the Chicago Tribune the city of Chicago already has shipments of Covid 19 vaccines waiting for approval by the FDA and they then can be distributed to health care workers. J. B. Pritzker, our Illinois governor, has plans in place for distribution once the drugs are approved. Two companies have vaccines waiting approval: Modena and Pfizer. Both vaccines will likely be approved as soon as this month and then can start to be used. According to officials health care workers will start to receive the vaccine first and elderly and more vulnerable people will be next in line. Children will be vaccinated over the summer and adults in general will probably be able to receive the vaccine in the spring. This means life will start to return to normal in 2021. One of the main problems in vaccine distribution is that the vaccines have to be kept at colder than usual temperatures and many hospitals don't have facilities with cold enough temperatures. But in any case it looks like the end of the pandemic is now in sight!
