Tonight's debate between the vice presidential candidates

 Harris versus Pence

Tonight at 8 PM, Waukegan time, the single, vice-presidential debate will take place. It is being held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Republican President Donald Trump's vice president is the former governor of Indiana; Mike Pence. Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential, has chosen Kamala Harris as his running mate. This evening Harris and Pence will engage in their first and only debate. Kamala Harris is the first Black and Indian (her mother is from India and her father is Jamaican) vice presidential candidate. She was the former district attorney of San Francisco, California and is currently a senator representing California, her home state. Mike Pence is a former congressman and governor of his home state of Indiana. He describes himself as "a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order." Pence is considered conservative and Harris is viewed as a liberal. This debate should be important because the last debate, between Trump and Biden, was disorderly and a calmer and more professional debate is hopefully planned for tonight. In addition, Joe Biden is 77 years old, while Harris is only 56. It is very possible that Kamala Harris could become president if Biden is unable to finish his term of office if elected.
